Today, I’m excited to try a new product from Acecosm called Miracle X. I’ll be using a gentle circle C pattern for my mesotherapy treatment. I’m particularly interested in its ingredients, which include liquid PCL and some fascinating ‘botulinum peptides.’
It’s worth noting that while it doesn’t contain actual botulinum toxin, these ‘botulinum peptides’ are designed to mimic its effects. Essentially, they’re also known as ‘Botox-like peptides’ or ‘acetylcholine-inhibiting peptides,’ and they aim to soften the appearance of wrinkles by helping facial muscles relax, much like Botox, but with what’s often described as a milder and potentially reversible action.
The way they achieve this is quite clever – they often work by interacting with a protein called SNAP-25, which is part of a larger complex called SNARE. This complex is crucial for the release of acetylcholine at the junction between nerves and muscles. By gently influencing this process, these peptides can help to reduce muscle contraction.
